Rutes a peu |
Les Valls d’Aneu estàn situades a la capçalera del riu Noguera Pallaresa, a la zona més septentrional del Pallars Sobirà, i constitueixen una subcomarca ben delimitada i amb personalitat històrica pròpia.
Des del punt de vista geogràfic, l’eix axial pirinenc ha modelat el paisatge, paradís natural on el 40 % del territori correspon al domini alpí. Les valls sorprenen per la seva lluminositat i s’han configurat amb la complicitat del pagès de muntanya, autèntic jardiner dels Pirineus. Paisatge natural i paisatge humanitzat coexisteixen en harmonia: des de la rusticitat dels pobles envoltats de prats de dalla limítrofs amb boscos de coníferes, fins als prats alpins i els cims voltats d’estanys d’origen glacial.
A més d’un patrimoni natural ben preservat, el patrimoni cultural d’Aneu ofereix l’al·licient del dialecte pallarès, festes populars fortament arrelades, la cuina típica de muntanya, una tradició artesanal reconeguda i un meravellós conjunt medieval, legat històric d’un passat poc conegut...

(957 m.) 680 habitants i una superfície de 8,5 km².
Centre geogràfic i de serveis de les valls d’Àneu. La seva economia està basada en el sector serveis. El nombre d’explotacions agroramaderes va minvant progressivament i pel que fa la indústria només subsisteix la producció d’energia hidroelèctrica.
L’oferta de cara al turisme és molt completa. A més, compta amb una magnífica infraestructura de serveis: CEIP la Closa, SES Morelló, Camp d’Aprenentatge Vall d’Àneu, Ecomuseu de les Valls d’Àneu, escola llar Joaquim Morelló, consultori mèdic, farmàcia, parc de bombers, biblioteca municipal, arxiu històric, Consell Cultural de les Valls d’Àneu, residència d’avis, guarderia, instal·lacions esportives, parcs infantils, estació de servei, servei de taxi, línies de transport regular de viatgers a Barcelona, Lleida i la Vall d’Aran,...
